Mykonos is a grand example of unique Cycladic architecture set around a picturesque fishing-village bay. Totally whitewashed organic cube-like buildings fit closely together to form a kind of haphazard maze of narrow alleyways and streets. As he produced the 3D model, Dr. Wael was a member of the A+D team that designed the building envelope for this project. Architectural features include exposed stone walls, beautiful hardwood floors and white wood-beam ceilings. A selection of high-end materials has been artistically combined with an exclusive individual design to create a fresh and modern décor for each villa. The Greek style was defined by its uniformity, simplicity, proportions, and harmony. Many of the most iconic designs from this time include stone edifices, though other materials such as wood and brick were also employed. The birth of the Cycladic architecture can be explained by the shortage of building materials, the houses have a flat roof and a cubic shape to better withstand strong winds, and they are painted white to disperse the great heat which accumulates during the summer.
